I chose to do Christmas Around The World as part of the 12 Days of Christmas because I wanted to show that no matter where we hail from in this world we are people sharing precious moments with loved one. Yes, our cultures may be different in some ways but there are similarities too. The German version of filling a pair of shoes with little toys is the US version of the Christmas stocking. And the gathering of family to break bread may be black pudding in Ireland or the scrumptious yeast rolls my Grandfather use to make from scratch. Whether you are performing traditional cultural dances in the Virgin Island or a mass choir in church belting “Joy To The World”…in the end we are all simply people celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.
