A Season
Have you ever had a season of life that was just so troublesome and long you did not know what to do? Have you ever had a time in life where it seems as though things keep getting worse instead of better and you have no joy? And in the midst of this struggle, did you feel you had lost your way? A time where you did not hear from God and you prayed and cried and prayed and cried. It can be a time of isolation and worry and fear and depression. I know because I have experienced this season.
Know this is just a season and this too shall pass. The purpose of this time is to draw you closer to the Father. Allow for the struggle to bring you deeper in prayer (conversation) with the Father. Drop the “Thees” and “Thous” and get real. “God, I am tired”, “Father, I don’t know how much longer I can go on”, “Jesus, I am so stressed I feel like getting a drunk or high”, “Lord, why am I still here, I feel useless unwanted or taken for granted”. These are truths, if we are honest with ourselves, of how life can take its toll. This is why it’s so important to stay in The WORD so you are prepared because the attacks will come and at times they will be relentless. These trials also allow you to become a testimony for someone else about how God brought you through. But I am here to tell you as a living witness that you can overcome.
So, to my fellow believers in the midst of one of life’s necessary seasons that seems endless:
“I want you to be blessed, don’t live life I distress
Just let go let God, He’ll work it out for you
I pray that your soul will be blessed
Forever in His rest, for you deserve His best no less”

My Uncle Joey has always taught us that in life there are mountains and valleys. He taught us to understand we cannot always have the mountaintop experience; because the valley is where we grow. This is a snippet of an article I wrote for my church’s newsletter a few years ago when I was having a valley experience. Today, I experienced a mountaintop experience and that is God’s grace in the “Circle of Life”
